The procedure can also be terminated if the applicant requests so.
The application must be in a written form, but it may also be orally declared before the interviewer or another Agency employee who will register it. The applicant for protection who wishes to have his/her procedure terminated, must indicate his/her exact names, address, personal foreigner’s number, and the reasons for the termination.
The procedure is terminated by a decision which becomes effective within 14 days after the applicant was served with the decision and certified the receipt by signing. After the decision becomes effective, the Agency issues a certificate to the applicant, which will be submitted to the migration police for the purpose of voluntary return to the country of origin. For more information on this issue, see “Voluntary return”.
